Axira biomarker discovery works across transcriptomic, proteomic, genomic, and clinical layers at once, looking for candidates that hold up in more than one layer rather than ranking each layer separately and hoping the lists agree. The output is a short list, sized for a decision rather than for a dashboard.
Each candidate carries its own evidence package. Which layers supported it, how strongly, which cohorts it held in, and where it failed. A scientist can disagree with the ranking, and disagree specifically, which is the only kind of disagreement worth having.
Omics streams, real world evidence, and clinical trial data enter through a governed data layer built to GxP expectations, so lineage is captured at ingestion. Candidate scoring runs through validated pipelines with explainable outputs, and the reasoning behind every ranking is retained rather than discarded once the score is written.
This is the part that tends to be left until later, and leaving it until later is why so many discovery tools never move past a pilot.
Industry surveys consistently find that AI adoption in life sciences drops sharply in exactly the areas that depend on messy, hard to validate data, and biomarker analysis is one of the clearest examples. The obstacle is rarely the model. It is that the data has no traceable provenance and the output cannot be explained to the people who have to sign for it.
