Where sources conflict, the conflict is reported rather than averaged away, because a disagreement between two evidence bases is usually the finding.
Answers arrive with their sources attached at the level of the individual claim, so a reviewer can follow any single statement back to the record it came from.
Inputs are normalized into the governed data layer with provenance intact. Retrieval runs over trusted sources only, and generation is constrained to what retrieval returned, so the system declines rather than invents when the evidence is not there. Human review sits at the decision point and every answer is recorded as an auditable artifact.
Model orchestration is vendor agnostic by design, which means no single model provider holds the reasoning behind a clinical conclusion.
The FDA draft guidance on AI in regulatory decision-making covers clinical phases where AI produces information supporting a decision on safety, effectiveness, or quality. An evidence synthesis tool used in that way needs a stated context of use and a credibility case for it.
